Getting Started
Admins can disable the GIPHY GIF library across Kudos when animated GIFs are not appropriate for their recognition program or workplace. When disabled, users will no longer have access to the GIF library in any end-user features such as recognition and award messages, comments, Spaces, and celebration card messages.
When to Use This Feature
- Your organization does not want animated GIFs used in recognition or award messages.
- Your communication or brand guidelines do not allow GIFs.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Disable GIFs
- From the admin menu, expand Platform set up.
- Select Feature management.
- Turn off Allow GIFs.
- Click Save.
Once saved, the GIF library will no longer be available in any employee-facing features across Kudos.

- This setting controls GIFs from the GIPHY library throughout the platform.
- Disabling Allow GIFs does not affect the ability to upload images or attach files.
