Getting Started
Incentives are custom challenges designed to inspire participation in activities that matter most to your organization. Use them to reward employees for completing training, joining wellness challenges, submitting feedback, or engaging in recognition campaigns.
This feature helps boost engagement, reward effort, and sustain momentum beyond everyday recognition. Employees can view all eligible incentives in one place, claim them directly, and submit proof if needed. Admins can configure rules, manage approvals, and track participation in real time, reducing manual work and ensuring fairness.
When to Use This Feature
- Motivating employees to complete compliance training or certifications on time
- Launching wellness campaigns such as step challenges or habit streaks
- Running recognition challenges (e.g., send 5 Kudos in a month)
- Encouraging survey participation or feedback submissions
- Driving culture-building activities like team competitions or themed events
Step-by-Step Instructions
Creating an incentive
- In the admin menu, go to Engagement > Incentives.
- Click + Create incentive.

Details page:
- Add a clear title and description explaining what participants must do, how to submit proof, the reward, and any limits or key dates.
- Upload a custom badge or use the default one provided.

Participation page:
- Select the audience (entire organization or specific teams).
- Enter the number of points per claim (optional) and select a point bank (if points are given).
- Set a claim limit per user if needed.

Timing page:
- Choose a start and end date (optional: leave end date blank for ongoing incentives).
- Enable the email notification and/or pin the incentive in Upcoming and important for 1–7 days.

Approval page:
- Decide if claims require approval before points are given.
- If so, assign additional approvers if necessary.
- Require proof of completion (text and/or attachments) if relevant.
- Click Create incentive to finalize.
Note: To test an incentive before launch, create a private incentive visible only to yourself or a test team. Submit test claims using your account or test users. Edit or archive the incentive when testing is complete.
Claiming an incentive
- Eligible employees will find available incentives in the Incentives section on the Home page.
- Click Claim to submit a claim.
- If proof is required, enter details and/or attach a photo before submitting.
- If no approval is needed, points are granted instantly. If approval is required, the claim needs to be reviewed before points are given.
Reviewing incentive claims
- Admins and assigned approvers receive email and in-app notifications of pending claims.
- Review and approve/deny claims from the overview page or the View proof screen.
- Approved claims automatically trigger badges and points (optional).
- Track activity, pending claims, and participant details in the incentive dashboard.
- Export participation data as CSV if needed.

- Pin high-priority incentives for maximum visibility.
- Include proof requirements for higher-value incentives to prevent misuse.

FAQs
Q: How will employees know about incentives they can claim?
A: They can see them in the Incentives page, receive notifications if enabled, and view pinned posts in Upcoming and important. Only incentives they’re eligible for will appear.
Q: Can incentives be ongoing?
A: Yes, you can run them one-time or indefinitely. Be sure to select the appropriate claim limit per user to stay within budget.
Q: Can I award badges and points automatically?
A: Yes, if no approval is required, badges and points are given instantly on claim.
Q: Can I test an incentive?
A: Yes, by creating a test version for yourself or your team, submitting test claims, and then editing or cloning when done.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Problem: Incentive not showing for some users
- Confirm they’re included in the selected audience
- Ensure start and end dates are correct
- Check that the incentive is active, not scheduled for a future date
Problem: Points not being awarded
- Verify the point bank is active, linked and topped up
- Check if the claim is pending approval
Problem: Approver can’t access claims
- Confirm they’re assigned as an approver for that incentive
Problem: Employees can’t upload proof
- Check file type and size limits
- Make sure proof submission is enabled in the incentive setup
