Cards help you celebrate your teammates’ special moments in a personal and meaningful way. Whether it’s a birthday, onboarding, or a milestone, creating a card allows you and others to share kind words and congratulations all in one place.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Create a Card
- Navigate to Celebrations from the main menu.
- Click on Create card - if you don't see a Create card button, ask your Kudos administrator for assistance
- Select the type of event (for example, Birthday, Onboarding, or Milestone), choose the card image you want to use and click Select card.
- Search for the user you’re creating the card for.
- Select the delivery date by clicking the calendar icon or typing it in manually.
- Add a card title and a meaningful message, expressing your well-wishes or congratulations to the recipient.
Note: you can personalize and sign this main message if the card is only coming from you, or add a more generic message for a group card. - Click Create card and sign to finalize the card.
Once here, you can:
- Edit the card if necessary.
- If this is a group card, you can add your personal message to the card by clicking on Sign card.
- Invite other people to sign the card - there is no limit to how many people can sign any given card, so feel free to invite as many individuals and teams as you think is appropriate.
Note: The card will be sent automatically at 8 a.m. on the chosen date. If you create a card to be sent the same day, it will be sent immediately upon clicking Create card and sign.
Sign a Card
- Click on Celebrations in the main menu and select the Available to sign tab.
- Use the available filters to find the card you want to sign and click View card.
- Click Sign card to add your personal message, including GIFs and emojis.
- Click Sign card again.
- Invite your friends and colleagues to sign the card. (Optional)
Note: Can't remember if you signed the card yet? Look for the Signed/Not signed cue on each card to quickly find out.
Helpful Tips & Ideas
- Check the delivery date to make sure the card arrives on time
- Personalize your message – write something genuine and specific to the person. Mention a recent achievement, shared moment or what you appreciate about them

Timing – Once the card is delivered, new signatures cannot be added, so be sure to complete your message before the scheduled send time.
FAQs
Q: Can I schedule a card to be sent on a future date?
A: Yes! You can choose a specific delivery date when creating the card. It will be sent automatically at 8 a.m. on the date you select. If you are scheduling a card to be sent the same day you created it, it will be sent immediately.
Q: Can I edit my message after signing?
A: Yes! As long as the card has not been sent to the recipient, you can edit your message by clicking on View card and there will be a pencil icon next to your message. Click on the pencil and you will be able to edit your message.
Q: Can I delete a card I’ve created?
A: Yes! As long as the card has not been sent out you can delete it. Within the You’ve created tab you will see all the cards you have created. Cards that have not been sent will have a trash can icon. Click on the trash can and your card will be deleted.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Problem: I don’t see a Create card button
- Check if your role allows you to create cards – some companies may limit this feature
Problem: I can’t find the person I want to send the card to
- Verify the spelling of their name in the search bar
- Confirm the recipient in the platform
Problem: The delivery date won’t save
- Make sure you’ve entered the correct date format DD/MM/YYYY
- You can click the calendar icon instead of typing the date manually
- Check that the date isn’t in the past – cards can only be scheduled for current and future dates
